A youtube message about our enemies. Take some time to consider and reflect on, who is our enemy?
We all consider it a great honour and privilege to have friends and be popular.
However it is not necessarily a dishonour to have enemies. As Christians we need to understand that we will meet with opposition and persecution as we stand for the things of God: righteousness, morality, virtues, ethics and the truth, and as we stand opposed the things of the world such as: sin, corruption, perversion and lies. This will put us at odds with people that believe differently to us.
You see it is no compliment to say that a Christian lived a life free of having an enemy certainly this could not be said of any great person of the Christian faith who have all face opposition including: Christ and Paul.
The Bible tell us:
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 2 Timothy 3:12
Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you. Luke 6:26
As people of Christ we need to understand that we will encounter enemies and opposition. How we deal with the problem of enemies will have a significant impact on how we live out our day to day Christians lives. Will we prioritise being popular at the expense of compromising our beliefs or will we stand strong for the God and our beliefs.
